Mrs. Smith

Mrs. Smith - Principal

I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to you all. My name is Sarah Smith, and I have the privilege of serving as the Principal here at Evergreen Elementary. With over two decades dedicated to education, including previous roles as an administrator in a different district and as a teacher right here at Evergreen, I am thrilled to call this community my home.

At Evergreen, we cherish our exceptional teachers, staff, students, and families who make this school such a special place. Together, we create a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive emotionally, creatively, academically, and socially. As an advocate for students, I am dedicated to ensuring that each child feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their fullest potential. Building strong relationships with students and families is at the heart of our mission, and I am committed to fostering a supportive partnership with each of you.

Beyond the school walls, I enjoy spending time with my family and our beloved dog, Kuma. Whether I'm reading a book, singing, or cheering on my favorite sports teams, I bring that same enthusiasm and dedication to our school community.

I am truly excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to working collaboratively with you to ensure the success of every child at Evergreen Elementary.

Go Eagles!

Mrs. Agres

Mrs. Agres - Assistant Principal

Hello Evergreen Families! My name is Allison Agres and I am happy to have called Evergreen Elementary School my home away from home for over 20 years. My career at Evergreen has included teaching second grade, working as a reading specialist, and currently serving as assistant principal.

I feel honored every day to be given the opportunity to help lead and assist a school where there are so many persevering students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community.

I truly believe that students are at the center of all school-related decisions, and I view education as a lifelong process. Each day I look forward to bringing my openness to learning and a child-centered approach to support our students in our building.

My free time outside of school is spent with my son and husband, and we enjoy spending time traveling and exploring new places as a family. I love reading and listening to books, shopping on occasion, and going to the movies.

I can not wait to see all our new and returning students and families this school year! Evergreen holds a special place in my heart and I cannot wait to watch your child soar this year!

Mrs. Snyder

Mrs. Snyder - Administrative Assistant, Data Management

Hi there! I am your go-to person for all PowerSchool support, student registration and enrollment, and most other "back of the house" duties. I love assisting families and students, improving our internal processes, and finding ways to support our community in the best ways possible. My favorite part of this position is witnessing students grow and celebrating their achievements. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions you might have. If I don't know the answer, I will either find it or direct you to the appropriate party to get it. I love a good challenge!

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and my Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I started working at Evergreen during 2023-24 school year. Prior to this, I was a a Global Instructional Designer at an international freight forwarder. I am married with two beautiful children who attend the incredible Benjamin School District 25 schools. Outside of work, I volunteer my time with my children's activities, participate in PTA meetings and events, and spend time improving my wellbeing.
